Ifergan Monthly - March 2024. Spring Break Hair Care Headed out of town for Spring Break this year? Here are our top tips and products to keep your hair healthy and looking your best for your upcoming trip. Scalp Protection - First off, let’s talk scalp protection because we feel like it’s a common miss. Regular sunscreen can be difficult to apply on the scalp, but this sun bum spray gets rave reviews. Chlorine Protection - Chlorine can leave hair dry and brittle since it strips natural oils from the hair and scalp. Be sure to rinse your hair with water before getting into the pool, that way your hair absorbs regular water first, and less of the dryer chlorinated water, and be sure to rinse again after getting out. Add moisture and Oil - Since the sun and chlorine strip oils from your hair, be sure to use a great deep conditioning mask and an oil to add that moisture back into your locks. Headed to a cold climate for a ski vacation? These also work great in dry air for your hair. Choose the right products - Moisture creams, anti-frizz sprays, and leave in conditioners are all great products options. If you can avoid using heat styling during your stay- even better! Cover Up - The best option is to cover up as much as possible. It’s the best protection for your hair, scalp, and bonus- your face.
