Vacation Mode: Activated It’s almost spring break which means (hopefully) you’re breaking out of winter more and springing into Vacation more. Nothing says time for some new clothes like an upcoming change in temperature vacation, are we right? Here are some of our top vacation picks we’ve got in our carts.
Classy Flat Sandal A regular on all our favorite Instagram influencers, these flat sandals do not disappoint. They’re equal parts casual or dressy- depending on how you wear them. They’re comfortable, and classy, and the sandal that goes with everything- you’ll be reaching for all vacation (and summer) long.
Sarong Skirt From beach to pool to lunch to town- this sarong will work all day long for whatever activities you have planned. We feel like this could easily be worn as a skirt with a tank top also- it's really an all-around win in our books.
Flattering Suit We may have found the absolute most flattering swimsuit- and it happens to come in so many color options that you cannot go wrong.
Easy Shorts When packing for vacation- items that can serve many purposes and these easy, elastic waist shorts are just that. Dress them up for night, throw them over a bathing suit for night- these shorts can do it all- and the bonus is their lightweight linen fabric and the multiple color options.
Packable Hat We wouldn’t be hairstylists if we didn’t add a hat to our must have vacation list. Protect your hair, and face, from sun with this PACKABLE hat.
What to Pack: Hair Protection Let’s get real. The sun can do a lot to you hair. From lightening hair (and natural) color, to drying out split ends, to sunburns on your scalp, etc. The good news is-there are lots of ways to protect your hair! Be sure to pack your own color protect shampoo and conditioner- the hotels options are likely not the most conditioning or color protecting options. Always apply sunscreen to your part- there's nothing worse than a scalp sunburn! Wear a hat- especially during peak sun hours. Pack a high quality and gentle detangling brush- dry ends and leftover sunscreen in your hair can lead to extra tangles, use a gentle detangling brush to help, and use a leave-in conditioner to for added moisture and hair protection. If going in chlorine, be sure to rinse your hair with shower water BEFORE going into chlorine so your hair soaks in the shower water, not the chlorinated, and if you’re super blonde, be sure to bring a clarifying shampoo (and you can schedule a clarifying treatment in the salon for when you get back!).
