Cezanne Aftercare Guide

Cezanne Aftercare instructions:

Right after your treatment

One unique thing about Cezanne is that you usually don’t have to wait days before normal activities.

  • You can wash your hair, work out, or tie it up immediately after the treatment.
  • Styling products and ponytails are also allowed right away.

Use the right shampoo & conditioner

This is the most important rule.

  • Use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner.
  • Look for products labeled keratin-safe or smoothing.

Avoid products with:

  • Sulfates
  • Sodium
  • baking soda
  • vinegar
  • parabens or phthalates

These ingredients can strip the keratin from your hair and shorten the life of the treatment.

Wash less frequently

Try to wash 2–3 times per week instead of daily.
Frequent washing can gradually remove the treatment.

Tip: use dry shampoo between washes.

Be gentle with your hair

To keep the smoothing effect:

  • Use a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction.
  • Avoid tight hair ties that create dents.
  • Brush gently and avoid aggressive towel drying.

Heat styling & protection

You can still use heat tools, but:

  • Always apply heat protectant.
  • Keep tools at moderate temperatures.
  • Avoid excessive flat-ironing every day.

Protect from chlorine & saltwater

Pool and ocean water can weaken the treatment.

If swimming:

  • Wet hair with clean water first.
  • Use a leave-in conditioner.
  • Rinse hair immediately after swimming.

Coloring hair

Wait about 2–3 weeks before coloring or bleaching to avoid weakening the treatment.
